I have supported over 40 people to set up their own shaft weaving loom, usually in their home. Tuition is delivered in sessions so that you complete each stage in your own time, before we next meet. This saves you money and consolidates your learning. My fee for this service, one on one, is $150 per 3 hour session, plus a consideration for travel time and costs if you live out of Wellington city. If your loom is in working condition, and depending on your prior experience in loom weaving, it usually takes 3 to 5 sessions to plan a project, set up your loom and get you underway weaving. If needed, I can provide affordable suitable yarns for your first project.

I also offer ongoing support sessions to enable you to extend your knowledge of loom weaving. I aim to assist you to become independent in your ongoing learning as a weaver.
