Sojourn Blankets

In homage to practitioners of motif and pattern in other artisan and cultural traditions, these motifs have been translated into a textured self-stitched double cloth weave structure. 

An heirloom gift to baby, essentially this technique creates 2 blankets woven together at moments of pattern, adding warmth and loft.

Seven Treasures

The Shippo Tsunagi (Seven Treasures) sashiko motif symbolises good fortune. Sashiko, meaning “little stabs”,  is a Japanese stitch tradition originally practiced as mending by patching layers of cloth with tiny, precise running stitches.
